Week 4 | 10 Types of Learning Strategies

Week 4 | 10 Types of Learning Strategies There are two types of learning strategies that can be implemented in classroom which are either teacher-centered or student-centered learning.  There are 10 strategies to further explained learning strategies stated above.  1. Presentation Establishing precious information on the lessons using visual aids such as Power Point or Keynote. It is considerably easier than reading from a book, but it may cause pupils to miss parts of the lesson since it is written in a simplified style that may skip certain important explanations. 2. Demonstration This may be accomplished by a teacher demonstrating to pupils how to use scientific procedures step by step. This will assist students in correctly analysing each important step; but, because this is time demanding, it may result in longer session hours. 3. Drill & Practice Done through a series of exercises, this method is particularly beneficial in learning Physics since it allows pupil...

Week 3 | Integrating Theory into Practice! This week, we learned about how to apply educational theory into the classroom. Specifically, we were taught how to apply technology in the educational theory we have covered before.   The first part of the lesson covered on Technology Integration Strategies Based on Learning Theories. There are 6 instructional model that have been discussed which are Cognitive Information Processing (CIP) Theory, Schema Theory, Cognitive Load Theory, Situated Learning Theory, Gagne’s Theory of Instruction, and Constructivism Theory. Madam Azidatun have teach us about the classroom implications, technological application that can be applied regarding their theory and their distraction.  Next part of the lesson covered on Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy. It is my first time to know about it as we are in the era of online classes. Therefore, I can relate with my online class.  Then, we revised a bit about the 4C's and multiple intelligence that...

Week 2 | What Era are We? The school holiday begin NOW! However, we still have online class for this DipEd thingy. Jiayou everyone!!! We can do it. 💪💪💪💪💪 For Week 2, we have learnt about the different eras of educational technology. Therefore,  I would like to reflect about four eras of digital technology education. Sounds interesting right? Let’s check it out! As indicated in the diagram above, digital technology education began in the 1950s and continues today. It astounded me since I had not expected technology to be integrated into our schooling as early as that year. It has been demonstrated that our forefathers were capable of thinking beyond the box. As a result, the first era is known as the "Pre-Microcomputer Era." I believe that not everyone had a computer at the time. We may argue that it will provide a significant edge to those who can afford and utilise a computer in this period. The second age, the Microcomputer Era, I suppose, is the era of my parents. Dur...
