Week 6 | ADDIE MODEL AND ASSURE MODEL

Week 6 | ADDIE MODEL AND ASSURE MODEL

Hello, everyone. Assalamualaikum. In Week 6, Madam Azidatun planned to expose us to these two instructional styles since we will be developing courseware for the subject's completion.

There were two instructional models discussed: the ADDIE model and the ASURE model. To be honest, I had never heard of these concepts before in building courses. As a result, I gained a lot of knowledge during the lesson. Here are a few key elements that should be emphasised.

Many instructional designers and training developers use the ADDIE instructional systems design (ISD) methodology for creating courses. The term is an acronym for the five phases of developing training and performance support tools that it outlines. They are as follows:

  • Analysis
  • Design
  • Development
  • Implementation
  • Evaluation

The ASSURE model is an instructional design paradigm that helps designers create more successful training programmes with technology integration. Because ASSURE is often seen as a model that caters to learners through technology and media, it varies from the ADDIE paradigm.

ASSURE is divided into six phases, each with its own set of features and objectives.

Thank you! See you next week!
